Values Exercise
Your values are written over everything you do. From the decisions you make to how you spend your time, you’re living them out daily. This exercise is designed to bring your values from your subconscious to your conscious awareness. Results can include spending your time more intentionally, knowing exactly where you want to focus, and creating the success you’ve always dreamed of. This Values Exercise was something I did when I was 18 years old and I can say that it’s still one of the most impactful things I did looking back. I now do a yearly iteration of my values. Take the time, you won’t regret it.
Take a screenshot or print out the values list below. Go through and cross out first anything that doesn’t apply for you. Then write out the ones left on a new sheet of paper. Keep narrowing down until your get your top 3-6. This is oftentimes a challenge, but it’s worth the effort. If you want to figure out your values without doing all that, then take the shortcut.
