Vitality Philosophy
Purposefully designed to be adaptive and to grow with you through the natural seasons of beginnings and endings with clarity and energy.
Are you perceiving Dusk or Dawn?
Your interpretation is insightful. It offers both perspective and direction.
Between dusk and dawn there is night, and if you’re reading this obviously you already know that. But what I want to focus in on is that between one chapter closing and another beginning, there is a space. This space is night and it’s your time to reflect, rest, and level up. In this in-between, you may find yourself open and willing to deeper levels of reflection — whether you’re really where you want to be, whether you’re really successful, happy, fulfilled… do you like your average Tuesday? Are you creating the type of impact you actually want?
During times of transition and change it’s natural to be in a state of deeper connection and awareness, seeing where your decisions have led, and reflecting whether the processes you’ve been running on are successful.
The other element in the visual to your right is the tree, let’s dive into what it represents next.
The Vitality Tree Analogy
The tree is a framework you can take with you. When you find yourself tracing the branches of a tree and connecting your big projects to action steps and reflecting on how they’re connected to your roots which guide you and hold your true beliefs and values.
Unseen but foundational, the tree’s roots are made of all beliefs and mindsets, they are underneath, unseen, supporting all other growth and development.
The roots support a steady trunk which is constructed out of your values and consistent areas of focus and never-ending improvement, they are at the core of everything for you if you really think about what matters to you and where your time is going.
The big branches growing from the trunk, this tree has four of these, they are your big projects, they’re things that you dedicate you time to, could be: school, profession, health, family, personal, this list is uniquely yours.
Smaller branches stemming off the big ones are all the actions that make progress towards what you want, the outcome you’ve decided you want to attain. The fruit can be seen as the outcome and result, it’s what your efforts created. The fruit carries the seed which has the code for growing and creating this type of outcome again in the future if planted. The seed is metaphorical because it can’t be lost or taken away.
It’s a cycle of growth from seed to tree. But what if you don’t really like your tree, or it’s really foggy, or you plant and nurture but don’t get the fruit you desire. I’ve gone all in before, only to find the harvest wasn’t what I expected. Perhaps you, too, have grown cautious: which seeds do I sow? Will nurturing them work? How will this be any different? Will growing these trees bear the fruit I want and need to survive? Will I love how I’m using my time and spending my life? What do I desire to spend my time doing? What do I actually want? Will the effort even be worth it? Your thoughts will vary widely based on where you currently are.
Bring Vitality into your everyday. What you focus on grows.
Sometimes having someone to talk to—who actually listens, takes notes, has your best interests at heart, and asks the hard questions instead of just nodding along—makes all the difference.
